Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using GroupSplit, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required in your region) to use GroupSplit.

3. Service Description

GroupSplit lets users:

• Add friends and groups.
• Add expenses, payments, and categories.
• Record payment methods (for information only).
• Use multiple currencies and languages.
• Export data.
• Receive activity tracking and notifications.
• Use Pro features (receipt scanning with AI, group images, profile images, expense locations, and widgets).

Important: GroupSplit only records shared expenses for convenience. We are not a bank and do not process payments.

4. User Content

You own the expenses, payments, images, and receipts you upload. By using GroupSplit, you grant us a license to use and share that data within your groups and for operating the Service.

5. Pro Features & Subscriptions

• Some features require a Pro subscription (listed in the app).
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
• You can manage or cancel through your app store (App Store / Google Play).
• Refunds follow the app store’s policies.

6. Receipt Scanning (AI by GPT)

• When using the AI receipt scanning feature:
• You consent to uploading receipts for processing.
• AI output may not be 100% accurate. You’re responsible for reviewing expenses before saving.
• GroupSplit is not liable for errors in AI processing.

7. Location Data

If you enable location for expenses (Pro feature), that location is stored with the expense and visible to group members.

8. Security

You are responsible for your account credentials. GroupSplit supports Face ID and other biometric security, but you must keep your device secure.

9. Exports

When you export data, the files are your responsibility to keep secure.

10. Live Chat

Support chat must be used respectfully. Abuse or illegal use may result in account suspension.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. GroupSplit does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use.

13. Limitation of Liability

GroupSplit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or payments.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify GroupSplit from claims related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert jurisdiction — e.g., Armenia, or where you register your company].

16. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use means acceptance.
